About Us: NAO Alumni Group


Welcome

Welcome to the Alumni page of the NAO’s website – whether you are already a member or have just looked out of interest. The Group is an informal network supported by the NAO and organised by Rachel Coffey and Lee-Anne Murray that offers previous employees of the NAO the opportunity to stay in touch – for personal and professional matters.

The Group offers the opportunity to share knowledge of developments in Government and Public Accountability as well as the more fun social aspects and helps you keep up to date with happenings at the NAO through:

We’ll also be setting up lists of members who have told us of specific areas they are interested in so we can inform them of events/ publications that might be of interest.
 

In Touch Magazine

“In Touch” is our magazine for Alumni members. This has been written to keep you up to date with developments at the NAO and how the organisation has changed since you left. An electronic version of the June 2007 issue is now available for download (in Adobe Acrobat PDF format). Issues 4 and 5 are also still available.

Social event

We have held events at Portcullis House with speakers including broadcaster Jeremy Vine and ex-head of Ofcom, Stephen Carter. We also had a fascinating tour of the Cabinet War Rooms at last autumn’s event. Details of the next event for autumn 2007 will be posted shortly.

Focus magazine

Focus is the NAO’s good practice briefing magazine on the latest developments in its work, of interest to those working in the public sector and the accountancy profession.
