INTOSAI Working Group on the Audit of Privatisation
Fourteenth Meeting Marrakech, 16-18 October 2007
Letter of Invitation
We are writing to invite you to the 14th annual meeting of the Working Group,
which will be held in Marrakech between 16– 18 October 2007. We would also
welcome the attendance of any representatives that you wish to nominate. The
meeting will commence on Tuesday 16 October with a welcome reception and close
on Thursday 18 October.
This year’s work programme in pursuit of our remit from XVIII INCOSAI, will
include:
- Presentations on experiences in the audit of privatisations, economic regulation and public/private partnerships.
- “Break-out” sessions for delegates to discuss these three key themes and feed back to the Working Group.
- Discussion around the Working Group’s future priorities and products.
- Discussion around the Working Group’s report to XIX INCOSAI in November 2007.
Following on from the successful introduction of interactive technology in
London last year we also intend to continue with its use as it proved an
excellent way to stimulate discussion and gain consensus on the way forward and
priorities for the Working Group.
We have already received some preliminary offers to make presentations at the
meeting. If there are any subjects which you or your representatives would like
to make a presentation on please inform Patricia Leahy, Director, at the
National Audit Office (+44 207 798 7837;
patricia.leahy@nao.gsi.gov.uk)
by 30 June 2007. We will arrange as usual for the documents for discussion to be
circulated in advance of the meeting and added to the
Working Group’s website.
A two part registration form covering the
meeting is available on the Working Group’s website. This should be downloaded,
completed and e-mailed to both
ccomptes@courdescomptes.ma and
PWG@nao.gsi.gov.uk. We would be grateful
if you could complete the first section of the form indicating who will attend
and return this to us as soon as possible - and no later than 30 June 2007 if
possible. This is to ensure we can guarantee hotel reservations. The second part
of the form relates to arrival and departure information and can be completed
when travel arrangements have been made. If you require a hard copy of the
registration form to be sent out we would be pleased to arrange this.
