Communities, regions and regeneration

The NAO's work in this sector, which focuses on developing and regenerating England's regions, includes auditing the financial statements of the Department for Communities and Local Government, the Housing Corporation and English Partnerships and their successor body; the Homes and Communities Agency; the Urban Development Corporations and the Regional Development Agencies.

We also undertake a wide range of value for money examinations across the sector, and are responsible for the Independent Performance Assessments and the Independent Supplementary Reviews of Regional Development Agencies.
