International affairs

The NAO's work in the international arena includes auditing the financial statements of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), the Department for International Development (DFID) and the various public bodies that these Departments sponsor, including the British Council and the recently formed UK Trade & Investment. We highlight here the work we carry out with the European Union and the European Court of Auditors. We also undertake a range of value for money examinations across the sector.
