Building the Capacity of the Third Sector

Our recent value for money report Building the Capacity of the Third Sector examines two government programmes, ChangeUp and Futurebuilders. They were set up to improve the capacity of the third sector. The report describes the findings and conclusions from our fieldwork. It also sets out a series of recommendations.

A second publication - The Impact of ChangeUp on Support and Frontline Organisations - presents the detailed findings of our research.  It seeks to understand the impact of ChangeUp on support providers and frontline organisations.  It is based on the six localities we examined for the main value for money report. The publication provides more detail to the ChangeUp case studies and expands on the theme of consortia development and sustainability.

The Impact of ChangeUp on Support and Frontline Organisations should be interesting to support providers (infrastructure organisations). It should also be of interest to those working with support providers in making their relationships work better and making the positive changes we observed both sustainable and long-lasting.
