Educating and Training the Future Health Professional Workforce
in England - Developing the Partnership
21 November 2001
The NAO report Educating and Training the
Future Health Professional Workforce for England identified the
need for NHS and higher education institutions to continue working
together to improve value for money, ensure more students complete
courses, to reduce the constraints on providing practical
experience and to invest in new capacity where needed.
Sir John Bourn welcomed 300 delegates to this one day conference
following publication of the NAO's value for money study. Delegates
included NHS policy makers, Directors of Training, Human Resources
and Personnel, Vice Chancellors and Deans of Universities and
college lecturers.
