This short briefing has been prepared for the Members of the Health Committee to support the Committee’s examination of health resource allocation. The NHS White Paper, Equity and excellence: Liberating the NHS, sets out the Coalition Government's long-term vision for the future of the NHS. At the Committee’s request this briefing focuses on health resource allocation under the current system.
