services
Study outline
Defra spend over £300 million a year on animal health and
welfare. Most of this spending is aimed at preventing major animal
disease outbreaks. This study will examine the Department's
delivery of animal health services through the Animal Health
Veterinary Laboratories Agency (AHVLA). It focuses on the Business
Reform Programme, a major ICT-enabled change programme underway at
AHVLA designed to make the Agency more efficient and resilient.
This study is part of the NAO's work on cost effective
