Work in Progress: Fire and Rescue Service: the New Dimension Programme

Study Outline

The New Dimension programme is a £350 million project to equip Fire and Rescue Services with equipment and training to deal safely and effectively with terrorist attacks and other catastrophic events. The NAO is examining how the equipment was procured, how well firefighters are trained to use the equipment, and whether the preparedness of the Fire and Rescue Services themselves is sufficient.

Publication Schedule

We intend to publish our report in Summer/Autumn 2008.
