To meet the growing demand for public services while reducing total public spending, government needs to find radical new ways to increase the value for money from public spending and improve the quality of public services. In reviewing the ways in which national and local government bodies are transforming public service delivery the NAO has identified four pervasive issues that can block improvement in public service implementation.

This document combines the slides and narratives from presentations given by Amyas Morse, Comptroller & Auditor General, and NAO Executive Leaders at various Civil Service Live events in 2015, together with links to relevant NAO publications.
