Commonwealth Auditors General Conference

Working Groups | Commonwealth conference

Since 1951, the Auditors General of the Commonwealth have met every three years to discuss matters of mutual professional interest and concern and to share experience.

The 20th Conference of Commonwealth Auditors General was in 2008. The title of the Conference was "Accountability for the 21st Century" and it considered two themes.

The first was the powers and responsibilities of Commonwealth Auditors General and the second was supporting the scrutiny function of Parliaments and Legislatures.

There were a wide range of presentations and papers reflecting experience across the Commonwealth and the Auditors General agreed a series of actions to take forward their discussions.

The 21st Conference of Commonwealth Auditors General is to be hosted by the Office of the Auditor-General of Namibia in April 2011.
