One of the NAO's strategic aims for its international activities is to strengthen our audit work and audit capacity through actively sharing knowledge with and drawing on the experience of other Supreme Audit Instititions (SAIs).

Consequently the National Audit Office plays an active role in the Committees and working groups established by INTOSAI, EUROSAI and the EU Contact Committee.

These Committees and groups deal with professional and technical issues and develop specific guidance and advice for SAIs on these subjects.

The NAO participates in the following Committees and Working Groups:
