NAO Private Finance Conference

Each year in the early summer around 150 private finance practitioners gather at a conveniently situated Central London location for the Annual NAO Private Finance Conference. Those attending are drawn from central government departments, local authorities, the private sector, funders and advisers.

The day usually commences with a series of short presentations from key speakers.  Previous speakers have included Edward Leigh MP, Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee, Gordon McKechnie (Treasury), Mike Gerrard (Partnerships UK) and the NAO’s Ed Humpherson. Other presentations have focused on topical issues such as the increasing range of ways in which the private sector may be able to engage with the public sector and the effect of the current credit crunch on financing for government projects. Other highlights have included the opportunity to watch a short film about the NAO's private finance work.

Our 2009 conference took place on 22 June 2009.
