Central Government Business & Technology Conference

Whitehall Media’s 9th annual CGBT conference

Date: Tuesday, 25 September 2018
Time: 09:00 – 16:45
Venue: Park Plaza Victoria, London

Government still has some way to go in its use of technology to transform the way public services are designed, delivered and consumed by end-users. This conference brings together decision-makers in central government and technology pioneers to discuss both policy and best practices required to achieve world-class public services that are simpler, faster and clearer to use.

Max Tse, Executive Leader, NAO, will be speaking on ‘Using open data to fuel cross-government innovation’

The UK government is leading the way in its approach to using open data for the benefit of the public and business. Open data also has the potential to transform government – aiding policy-making, research and analysis, and helping to create more joined-up services. But data is often stuck within operational silos, limiting the benefits that can be extracted from it.

Max will speak on improving data collaboration across the whole of government, including the benefits of data sharing and collaboration, ways to break down silos and forge partnerships, and how to improve access to specific data analytics tools and techniques to improve the management of complex datasets.
