Our work on operations and process management is about understanding an organisation’s capability in managing and improving its business. We provide direct support to colleagues across government on:
- assessing capability in managing and improving business operations
- understanding priority business problems; and
- identifying how to achieve sustainable improvement
Using our established analytic we test whether organisations have the characteristics to manage successfully, whether delivering business as usual or new ways of working as part of change programmes.
Our analytic has been applied extensively across UK government, building our knowledge on a range of organisation types and business processes. The work is helping us to identify the most important factors to get right. See Managing business operations – what government needs to get right to find out what we have been learning.
