Immigration Casework

UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) is part of the Home Office and is responsible for making decisions on who has the right to visit or stay in the country. It manages around 3 million visa applications a year from overseas nationals applying to come to the UK to visit, study or work, as well as considering applications from overseas nationals who wish to settle in the UK permanently.

Our study will look at UKVI’s visa system, focusing on non-straightforward cases.

If you would like to provide evidence for our study please email the study team on enquiries@nao.org.uk, putting the study title in the subject line. The team will consider the evidence you provide; however, please note that due to the volume of information we receive we may not respond to you directly.
