About the author

Eleanor is the Director of Public Sector Productivity at the National Audit Office. She has worked on value for money issues across a wide variety of public services and departments including health, transport, the justice system and business and regulation. Most recently she was seconded into HM Treasury’s Office for Value for Money, a temporary unit focused on reforms to ensure that value for money is at the heart of government’s spending decisions.

In this new role, Eleanor is bringing together expertise from across the NAO in support of our ambition for government to deliver more productive and resilient public services.
