Mark Rhys

Mark was appointed to the Audit Quality Board by the C&AG on 1 February 2025. Mark is a former Deloitte Financial Services audit partner who has spent 40 years auditing banking and capital market clients. In addition, Mark was Deloitte’s global lead contact for interactions with the Financial Stability Board.

He was the first chair of the ICAEW’s Financial Services Faculty and a member of and chair of the ICAEW’s Technical Strategy Board. Mark was ICAEW President in 2024-2025. He was also a member of Sir Donald Brydon’s Auditors’ Advisory Group established in 2019 to provide an independent review on the Quality and Effectiveness of the UK Audit Market.
