The National Audit Office has today published a briefing paper on the Government’s identity assurance programme, which aims to create a safe and convenient way for people to access an increasingly wide range of government services online.

The Government Digital Service (GDS) is developing the programme to support wider digital transformation across government as online services are redesigned and rebuilt.

The NAO’s briefing paper is primarily intended as a briefing for departments using GOV.UK Verify as part of their digital service.
