Performance Frameworks and Board Reporting I

This report sets out good practice in developing a performance framework, reporting performance information, and ensuring performance information is used. Based on a survey and case studies, the report includes a model that organisations can apply to evaluate the maturity of their own performance system.

As of 2016/17, this report remains valuable for its case studies and the maturity model it sets out. The latter was used in ‘Performance Frameworks and Board Reporting II’ and a Word version of this model and good practice criteria can be found alongside our related report, ‘Performance measurement by regulators’.
