Our upcoming report on the border following the UK’s exit from the EU will consider how the UK border has been operating in relation to the movement of goods since the end of the transition period, and how government plans to implement its 2025 border strategy.
This study will examine the condition of local roads in England and the Department for Transport’s approach to funding their maintenance. An industry survey estimated the one-time catch-up cost to clear the backlog of maintenance issues in England would cost £12.1 billion and take 11 years to complete.
